What is a PPG?
PPG stands for Patient Participation Group. Every GP Practice must have a PPG which is a group of patients who meet regularly with Practice staff to discuss the services that the Practice offers, and how they could be improved to ensure that the patient experience is as good as it could be and that the health of the local community is improved.
What do PPGs do?
- Provide an independent patient view to help Practices identify areas of improvement
- Help the Practice to foster links with the local community
- Help promote health matters (for example by running events at the surgery)
- Influence the provision of other health and social services provided locally
Our Practice Manager is Carole Montague who also takes an active role in the working of the PPG.
We have published a Statement of Intent as to how the PPG operates. Please click to download.
Any patient is welcome to join the PPG. If you are interested, please contact us by email or leave a message at the relevant surgery reception. If you don’t feel able to come to our meetings, please consider being a part of our Virtual PPG.
If you have any concerns or issues you wish to raise with respect to any part of the Practice operation and service, you are welcome to approach any of the members below who will be happy to raise the matter at a PPG meeting. Alternatively, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org*
