Transport by The Ambulance Service

National Guidelines state that transport to hospitals run by the Ambulance Service can only be provided for people who are not well enough to use ANY OTHER FORM OF TRANSPORT, including public transport or taxis.

Volunteer Transport Service

Chalgrove

In Chalgrove, there is a volunteer transport service called CHATS which provides transportation to and from relevant Oxford Hospitals to attend Outpatient Appointments.

CHATS will also transport relatives who wish to visit family members and are unable to use public transport.

Watlington

In Watlington, there is a volunteer transport service called “Watlington Volunteer Drivers”. This service provides transportation to the surgery and/or local hospitals. They can be contacted on 07765 154120 between 7.00 pm and 9.00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Please note that there will be a mileage charge for this service.
